Furisode clearance
We held a cleanup of Long-Sleeved Furisode on January 26th. Even though organizing a coming-of-age ceremony is hard work, cleanup work is also a challenge. There is usually a lot of important work that goes on behind the scenes of glamorous events. We still have crucial work such as cleaning and ironing after taking off Haneri (Stylish, decorative cloth that protects Kimono collars from becoming dirty). Thank you for helping us, even though it is on a Sunday today. Thanks to all Nadeshiko-Kai members! We really appreciate being supported through the volunteering of our wonderful members!
Thanks again, everyone. |

Preparation for Coming-Of-Age Ceremony
One January 5th, we had preparations for a Coming-Of-Age Ceremony on January 19th. Although it was a holiday, many members from Nadeshiko-kai turned out. I brought many Long-Sleeved Furisode and Obi collections from my home, which we coordinated. Because it would be very hard to carry so many kimonos by myself, my husband kindly helped me. Seeing the colored Kimono arrayed in the classroom- Furisode, Obi, and Accessories was very beautiful, and made it all worthwhile. On January 7th, we will prepare for an event. Your help would be greatly appreciated on this day. Even though it is very hard work to prepare for a Coming-Of-Age event, I'm thankful to our members who actively volunteer. It is very important to have such great effort from everyone who is working behind the scenes for the event. It is two more weeks to the ceremony...we still have lots of things we need to do. Let's rally together and pull off this event! After the work preparations, we ate some of my homemade Oshiruko (Red-Bean soup). Thank you for volunteering. We always appreciate your support and cooperation! Please look up on the website if you are interested in joining our Coming-Of-Age events.
